As reported in recent hours, an injury has occurred among the Canadiens' prospects, leaving Kent Hughes with work to do.

Quentin Miller was one of the two goaltenders set to play in the rookie tournament between the Montreal Canadiens and the Toronto Maple Leafs, but he has sustained an injury and will not be able to participate.

"According to information from Mathieu Paradis, Quebec goaltender Quentin Miller unfortunately suffered an injury during a preseason game against the Chicoutimi Saguenéens.

As a result, the Canadiens will need to find another goaltender for the rookie camp."

The replacement has now been confirmed: Matteo Drobac from the OHL.

Drobac played alongside Owen Protz and Florian Xhekaj last year and even shared the ice with Arber Xhekaj in 2021, the year the Bulldogs won the championship.

Though never drafted, Matteo Drobac will join Lane Hutson, David Reinbacher, Logan Mailloux, Owen Beck, and his former teammate Florian Xhekaj for the tournament.
