According to behind-the-scenes reports, the Canadiens have Ivan Demidov as their top choice for the 5th overall pick, and it is becoming a reality.

Top insiders are on this, and they are well-informed. The chances of seeing Ivan Demidov coming to Montreal are very good.

According to Corey Pronman, it's almost a formality. The choices of the Sharks, Blackhawks, and Ducks are already known, with only the Blue Jackets' pick missing.

"I think it's [Cayden] Lindstrom, [Anton] Silayev, or [Beckett] Sennecke when it comes to the Blue Jackets' pick." - Corey Pronman

Now, the Blue Jackets' preferences are known, leaving the door wide open for Montreal and Kent Hughes.

1- Sharks: Macklin Celebrini

2- Blackhawks: Artyom Levshunov

3- Ducks: Anton Silayev

4- Blue Jackets: Cayden Lindstrom

5- Canadiens: Ivan Demidov

This is truly incredible if it happens because Demidov is in a class of his own. Moreover, the information about him was incorrect, as he is 6'1" and speaks English very well, in addition to wanting to play in the NHL as soon as possible.

The phenomenon even turned down several very enticing offers in the KHL to ensure he would not have a contract and be free for the NHL. That says a lot.
