For a good 10 years, the return of the Nordiques has been hoped for, but Gary Bettman simply wants nothing to do with it. Las Vegas and Seattle got their expansion teams, and Salt Lake City is increasingly mentioned as the next destination.

Will it go through expansion? According to Frank Sevaralli, there are three possibilities.

"Gary Bettman said we'll have an announcement on #Yotes future in a few weeks. Sources say it could come as soon as this weekend.

What's on the table? Three options, sources tell DailyFaceoff."

Here are these three options:

1- Building a new arena in Arizona

2- Finding buyers to keep the team in Arizona

3- Relocating the team to Quebec or Salt Lake City

Indeed, Quebec is mentioned here. The best way to make a lot of money quickly is through expansion. Since Salt Lake City is in the west, moving the Coyotes to Quebec would then be an idea.

It's still in the rumor stage, but it makes sense. The timing would be excellent as Gary is trying hard to shift the focus away from the scandal of the Junior Team Canada.

He doesn't want to answer questions about this situation and doesn't seem ready to make a decision either.
